Today, we want to address some constructive input from our community of parents and recent press reviews and how we’ve incorporated it into our product updates.
Did you know?
The best part of Cradlewise is that the crib is Over-the-Air update enabled. We release new features and software improvements bi-monthly to ensure your Cradlewise crib gets smarter over time. It’s crucial to keep your mobile app updated from the App Store or Google Play Store to benefit from these updates.
Here are some updates we have made based on your feedback:
1. Increased compatibility
We’ve made significant improvements to video connectivity to address compatibility issues with the ever-expanding variety of routers from different brands and Android phones.
Your feedback has been invaluable, and we’ve been actively expanding our test routine to better handle these challenges. Updates scheduled for the end of August should mitigate 90% of these issues, ensuring a smooth video experience without the need to restart the app.

2. Personalized settings across devices
We understand the importance of a seamless experience and are happy to announce that your personalized settings will now be saved across all devices you use. Whether you’re switching between your phone, tablet, or computer, your preferences will stay with you, creating a truly customized and hassle-free journey.
3. Enhanced automatic soothing
We’ve invested significant time and effort in enhancing our Smart soothing feature. Thanks to valuable baby sleep data, we continuously improve the system for better sleep state detection.
We’ve also made smoother and more gradual white noise volume adjustments, ensuring a seamless experience tailored to your little one’s needs.
Additionally, we’ve introduced the option to cap volume limits in Smart sound mode, giving you greater control over the soothing process to match both you and your baby’s preferences.

4. Improved audio quality
We heard your concerns about audio quality, and we’re thrilled to let you know that we’ve released an update that reduces background noise in the audio monitor. Now, you can enjoy crystal-clear audio of your baby, as our clever algorithm intelligently responds to ambient sounds.
The white noise volume automatically adapts, tuning itself to a gentle murmur during your little one’s peaceful slumber, and amplifying to offer extra solace when they need comfort during moments of tears. When your baby is asleep, the audio feed in your app will encompass a more pronounced white noise element while streaming. Conversely, when your baby is awake and crying, the feed will feature a reduced white noise presence, allowing the cries to come through more prominently.
Parents who use iOS should notice a difference in clarity right away, and we are quickly making progress for Android uses.
5. Fine-tuned Smart sound
At the heart of our mission is the understanding that every baby is wonderfully unique, with their own preferences and needs. That’s why we’ve enhanced the Smart mode of your crib’s sound to provide a more user-friendly experience.
With the new update, you have greater control over the volume of white noise, allowing you to find the perfect soothing level for your little one. We’ve also improved the gradual volume changes during soothing, ensuring a more gentle and calming experience.
Parents asked for this feature, and we are delighted to provide it.
Did you know?
You can create a custom white noise track around your baby’s preferences, including layering in a heartbeat sound or the sound of rainfall.
6. Precise Sleep Insights
We know how valuable it is for parents to understand their baby’s sleep patterns. That’s why we’re excited to introduce some fantastic upgrades to the Cradlewise Sleep Insights feature.
With these improvements, you can now access 24-hour clock markings and a live chart, providing you with a clear picture of your little one’s sleep states in real time.
By incorporating exact timestamps for naps, we’ve made it easier for you to track those essential resting moments. Our goal is to give you a straightforward and informative tool to comprehend your baby’s sleep story.

7. Customizable notifications
Now, you have the power to personalize your notifications like never before. It’s as easy as navigating to Settings > Account > Notifications and simply toggling off any unwanted alerts. We’re constantly on the lookout for ways to make your parenting journey smoother and more enjoyable.
The ‘Messages’ tab simplifies viewing, categorizing, and deleting alerts, empowering you to have a clearer understanding of your baby’s sleep history.
Did you know?
We also know every baby is different, and some may move a lot in their sleep without actually waking up. To customize the crib for your baby, Cradlewise offers a unique ‘Sensitivity’ setting. With this feature, you can control how often and quickly the cradle responds to sleep disturbances. If your baby frequently moves a lot during sleep, you could select a lower ‘Sensitivity’ level, and the crib will only respond if your baby moves for a prolonged period of time. 8. Enhanced capabilities
Cradlewise is a smart crib – this means that with app and firmware updates every two weeks, we ensure all our users have access to the best experience at all times. Don’t worry – those updates will only be installed in the afternoons when your baby is not using the crib.
We would never want to interrupt precious sleep time! These updates are often based on our learnings and your requests…and they help the crib get smarter and smarter all the time, giving you back more minutes of precious sleep. Our product team is very connected to the users and we urge them to co-create along with us.

9. Heightened sleep state detection
Your baby’s sleep is our top priority, and we’ve made significant improvements to our built-in AI model for determining wakefulness based on your baby’s cues. Through these enhancements, the crib customizes itself better to each baby’s unique behavior, significantly reducing false detections.
Our detection AI is getting smarter: it can now accurately detect the presence of a baby in the crib 98% of the time.
The sleep detection is a bit trickier – while we are more confident of “cry” and “asleep” states, the crib is learning to better identify intermediary “awake” or “drowsy” states. We are already conducting testing on improvements to our sleep detection that we hope will resolve this issue.
